Member Meet-Up #8 - Energy Safe Victoria
This session was held in conjunction with Greg Johnson from Energy Safe Victoria who discussed the changes in the draft Electrical Installations Standards for Transportable Structures and Supply Arrangements.

AS/NZS 3001-2008 is now in the process of being reviewed. In order to update the requirements for new electrical installations associated with transportable structures and vehicles and their site supplies, Standards Australia has recently released the following draft Standards for public comment:
  • AS/NZS 3001.1 - Electrical installations-Transportable structures and supply arrangements, Part 1: Site supplies for transportable structures and vehicles
     
  • AS/NZS 3001.2 - Electrical installations-Transportable structures and supply arrangements, Part 2: Transportable structures and vehicles
Members are strongly encouraged to review the draft Standards in consultation with their design staff and/or electrical contractors as they relate to the transportable structures and vehicles they are producing or the electrical wiring of site supplies within their caravan park or camping ground.
